What we’re trying to achieve

We want to see every student – regardless of background, ability or location – enjoy a world-class careers education, including access to regular employer encounters.

There’s a direct correlation between the number of employer interactions at school & university-age and later-life success. Further, disadvantaged students (often lacking strong networks) typically fare worse than their more affluent peers.

Our aim is to make volunteer employee mentoring an everyday occurrence, seamlessly incorporated into the working day. In doing so, we can increase access to, and potency of, education / employer relationships.

How it works

Our fully-trained E-Mentors – real employees – will chat with, and share live insights to, students as they go about their working day. Through observing the small, everyday steps real professionals take, students will gain invaluable career insights and regular sources of inspiration to help them make informed careers choices.

Students and E-Mentors can chat whenever and from wherever they like, in group channels and 1-on-1 chats for personalised advice, and are matched by skills & interests. They can communicate anonymously and delete at any time.

Utilising inputs and advice from E-Mentors, Students will build out their own personalised, actionable career plan to determine which moves they can make today to get into their dream careers. They’ll also start building their first professional network to help get their foot in the door.
